THE BRIEF

Lubricin is a weird and wonderful material with a “looped” body and stick “feet” at each end – a bit like carpet or Velcro. Patton’d Studios was tasked with designing a series of images that represented new research surrounding the process of coating Lubricin with electro-active polymer substances to create a modified Lubricin with enhanced functionalities that may revolutionise the future of medical diagnostics.

We undertook an extensive pre-production process to ensure all of ratios of Lubricin to coating were scientifically accurate. This enables the  illustration series to be used not only for funding applications and presentations, but also for scientific publications.
